French Roulette is one of Europe’s most popular table games. It comes with a single ‘0’ and encourages something known as section bets. Sections bets are sections of the roulette wheel, so instead of betting on numbers on the board, you are betting on where the roulette ball will land on the wheel.Â
Many people do not realise that Orphelins, Zero Jeux, and other such bets are a big reason why Europeans love this game. In essence, betting on the wheel rather than the board makes the game of roulette much simpler.
As most of the roulette gameplay instructions explain the inside and outside bets for this particular guide, the focus will be on section bets provided courtesy of 18luck who are experts when it comes to table games!
Section Bets
On the outside of the board, you will notice the section betting options; 0-Jeux, Serie 1/2/3, Orphelins, and Serie 5/8.
These are sections of the wheel split up. That means all the numbers are adjacent to each other on the wheel, and what you are doing is laying down straight bets on a section of the wheel.Â
OrphelinsÂ
Cover a section of five numbers 1, 20, 13, 41, 9 and another section of three numbers 34, 6, 17.Â
Serie 5/8
27-33 on the roulette wheel includes 12 numbers all adjacent to each other. 6, 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24 and 16, so you are making 12 straight bets.
Serie 1/2/3
All numbers between 25 and 22 on the roulette wheel are wagered using this option. This is 17 straight bets with a return of 35-1 for hitting 1 number. In the end, you are getting roughly even odds from this bet. The numbers on the wheel are all adjacent as follows. 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, and 25.
Zero Jeux
From the left of the numbers include 0, 26, 3, 35 and 12 and to the right of the zero 32, 15. All the numbers are next to each other creating yet another small section of bets around the zero. This is seven straight bets on the board.Â
The section bets can be a powerful betting tool when designing your Roulette betting system giving you tasty extra odds. When you first start using them, it may be a bit mind-boggling, but once your brain naturally starts to remember the patterns the more you play, the more using this betting system will become second nature to you.
